Performance Measures

DRPT collects and compiles numerous performance measures from public transit agencies and freight rail projects across the Commonwealth. These metrics include transit ridership, operations of the Virginia Breeze, and performance of freight rail programs. These data are available to the public to view or download.

Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP)

The SYIP is the Commonwealth’s funding allocation program for transportation projects across Virginia. DRPT’s SYIP page visualizes rail and public transit funding for the upcoming fiscal year and is available for download.

Transit Asset Management Performance Dashboard

As part of the TAM Plan development, DRPT sets performance targets for vehicles and facilities based on a combination of past performance and expected condition.

Throughout the year, DRPT releases various budget and financial documents to provide transparency and accountability to the public on how the agency spends and allocates money to its public transportation and rail partners.

SMART SCALE

SMART SCALE prioritizes funding for transit projects that bring the greatest benefit to the Commonwealth. DRPT tracks the progress of SMART SCALE’s active public transit and rail projects and visualizes their progress on this dashboard.

Strategic Plan
