Process

The Transit Ridership Incentive Program has undergone numerous changes since it was established in 2020. Fiscal Year 2024 was the first year in which TRIP’s Public Safety and Passenger Amenity grants were awarded, in addition to TRIP Regional Connectivity and Zero and Reduced Fare grants.

Outcome

In Fiscal Year 2024, DRPT awarded approximately $27 million in TRIP grants to 34 projects across all four project categories. 19 of these TRIP projects were new projects in FY 24, with the remaining 15 multi-year projects initially awarded in prior years.
