TRIP - Transit Ridership Incentive Program
The Transit Ridership Incentive Program (TRIP) is a new statewide grant program dedicated to improving transit’s regional connectivity in urban areas with a population in excess of 100,000 and reducing barriers to transit use by supporting low income and zero fare programming. The TRIP program was created by the passing of House Bill 1414 in the 2020 General Assembly session.
Before applying for TRIP funds, please carefully review the provided information below.
The application period is open from August 1, to September 17, 2021. Interested grantees should submit a fillable application to OLGA by September 18. Additionally, please submit all available supporting documentation (relevant local/planning documents, ridership reports, and additional evidence of need). Interested parties have until October 1, to submit applicable letters of support and board approvals.
